DRUG AND ALCOHOL SCREENING, TESTING AND EVALUATION SERVICES

New Connections has provided drug and alcohol services for individuals, families, employers, therapists, medical practitioners, the courts, and other government organizations for over 20 years.

We now offer a variety of screening and evaluation services that include convenient testing, immediate results, counseling and referrals for appropriate follow-up services, and reporting as needed for other parties. These services are available for both youth and adult clients, and may be conducted at our conveniently-located counseling centers in Concord, Pittsburg or Richmond.

Screening Services:

The Drug and Alcohol Screening is designed as a quick and basic screening tool. It is typically used for pre-employment and related situations.

The cost for this service is $45. It includes a single drug and alcohol test, with the results reported within 24 hours.

Evaluation Services:

The Drug and Alcohol Evaluation is designed to provide a preliminary diagnosis of an individual's chemical dependency problem, and which modality of treatment may be indicated to address their needs. It is often used as a referral or disposition resource by the courts, family services, schools and other third parties.

The cost for this service is $295. It includes a clinical evaluation using a standardized psychosocial assessment tool, a drug and alcohol test, and a detailed, written report describing the results.

Testing Services:

The Drug and Alcohol Testing program is a comprehensive approach to determining whether an individual has a chemical dependency problem. Because of the extended testing period, it is a more accurate tool to assess suspected problems, and it is often used by employers, families or other concerned parties when other methods are inconclusive.

The cost for this service is $495. It includes a comprehensive clinical evaluation, six drug and alcohol tests administered over a two-week period, a written report describing the results, and a follow-up counseling session.

New Connections is a counseling and recovery agency, serving Contra Costa County since 1972. Among several other honors and awards, New Connections was named as one of the top 20 programs in the United States by the Association of State Alcohol & Drug Abuse Directors.
