REUNION - Perinatal Outpatient Substance Abuse Day Treatment Program
Reunion, New Connections' perinatal substance abuse day treatment program, is designed to support the successful recovery of pregnant women and mothers with young children. The program includes counseling, van transportation, childcare and comprehensive family support. Mental health treatment can also be provided for those individuals who are determined to be eligible for the Victim Compensation Program.
Reunion is staffed by highly-qualified counselors who are experienced in chemical dependency, mental health and domestic violence counseling. The program is located in our beautiful Concord facility, and includes collaborative support from several other community service providers.
This program is supported through contracts with Contra Costa County's Community Substance Abuse Services, CalWORKS Services, and private contributions.
Who May Attend:
Women with substance abuse problems who are pregnant and/or parenting may attend the Reunion program. Created to meet the special needs of CalWORKS or SAMHWorks participants, the program also contains the components often required for Child Protective Services-mandated clients.
Program Features:
- Up to four hours of activities each morning, Monday through Friday (and one Saturday per month).
- Six months of intensive substance abuse treatment.
- Individual, group and family counseling sessions.
- Relapse prevention, life skills, domestic violence and anger management groups.
- Classes on parenting, introduction to 12-step programs and alcohol and drug education.
- On-site child care, with child therapy and socialization programs.
- Van transportation provided daily to the program and related activities.
Continuing care for up to one year is available following completion of the program.
